After 8 years of dreaming, writing, rewriting and preparation, people will soon hear the epic story of two brothers and one wastefully extravagant father brought to life in the double album recording containing all the songs from the musical. We are currently in the studio finishing up tracking, and then it’s on to mixing and mastering, which will be completed in the coming weeks. As soon as we have the release date and details we will post it – our best guess at this point is summer 2010.

At one point, the hope was to premiere it during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in Feb 2010. However it became clear that escalating costs, challenges with housing and travel for out of town cast and crew, and a fundraising shortfall meant we needed to change our launch strategy.

But this delay gave us the time we needed to complete arranging all the songs, and rather than release a single highlights CD with 15 songs – we now had time to complete a full double recording of all 25 songs.

Beyond the upcoming album release, we are in strategic discussions on how and where we will launch the musical in front of a live audience, and as soon as decisions are made, the details will be posted here first.
